Personal Persistence Mottoš¹
Personal Persistence Motto:
Persist, persist, persist⦠keep at it, and persist some more.
Personally speaking, endeavoring towards a goal, vision, purpose or mission can be challenging at times (most times), and thatās oftentimes when āpeopleā are there to remind you, that āMaybe itās not meant to beā, and specifically as it relates to Christians, āThen itās not Godās will.ā With a degree of caution, I refute thatābut state, that simply isnāt true.
I insert caution because of course, what we are doing and the āWHYā matters. But maximizing gifts, talents, creativity is your innate, God- given resource (s) for flourishing here in the Earth. Thatās what your gifting is for. Added to that when you endeavor to do anything for the improvement, charity, good will of others-ā itās Godās will. And because those endeavors and gifts require effort to refine and reach its desired end does not mean you are to abandon the effort. Imagine thatā imagine if everyone had given up because it was hard, so therefore, āItās not meant to beā, āNot āfromā Godā, or ānot Godās will.ā Where would we be as a culture, society, nation, and individually? I remember learning about how rocks are formed, and it always stuck with me as a metaphor for how life and purpose align.
Itās quite the process:
āā¦fragments are removed from their source and transported by wind, water, ice, or biological activity to a new location. Once the sediment settles somewhere, and enough of it collects, the lowest layers become compacted so tightly that they form solid rock.ā (National Geographic Society).
Itās the ālowest layers become compacted so tightly that they form solid rockā for me. šÆ Think of the references for āA Rockā, āMy Rockā, āThe Rock.ā Abandonment of mission, purpose, gifts, talents, and goals donāt align.
So, I share this out of my personal reflectionsā keep at it, keep at it, keep at it. Persist, because you just may be the rock that someone is waiting for! šŖØ šš¾šŖš¾ā¤ļø
